I ordered a lens for my Nikon SLR. I provided all the information they needed. Two days later I get an email stating that my phone number is not valid and that I should email my correct phone number so they can call and confirm. I sent the same phone number I gave originally-they tell me it's not valid and they will not process my order until I call them-I told them to stuff it and ordered from B&H instead. |

Purchased Nikon 950 late Sunday on website at great price! Received message confirmation call for shipping details next morning. Called back and talked to Steve who offered next day shipping (no increase of price!) because of the ship time lost to varify order. Great service Fed Ex trace info and received next day! Packed very well too. |

I purchased a Minolta Dimage 7 camera from this merchant on July 31st. The sales associate was very helpful and did not try to sell me additional accessories. I received confirmation of both my order and invoicing to my credit card via email. I also received a tracking number to track my order. I chose overnight shipping and am enjoying my purchase today! I was fed up with all the NYC discounters. They either sell gray market items, way over-priced "mandatory" accessories, or charge $30-$65 for shipping. Ritz is a bit more expensive, but you get a 30-day "no questions asked" return policy, all their accessories are competively priced (they have price matching), and there is absolutely no high pressure sales techniques. They have over 1000 retail stores, so you get the benefits of a large company, but with discount pricing. |

I ordered a Fuji Finepix 6900 at $799. Then I submitted the paper to price match with outpost.com at $699. Few days later I called to check. They said they cannot match that price (it's within the $100 limit obviously). Still I asked how much they can match. They come back and stated they cannot match that price regardless. The guy said the low price guarantee says the "may" match the price. I read out the policy to them but they still will not honor their own policy. They are suck. |

Web-site mentioned will deliver by X'mas if the order is in stock. So, I placed an order for the S110. However, after transaction is done and when I check my order status, it turned out I can only receive it after X'mas. So, I went to their online LIVE help line and cancell the transaction. Overall, good customer service. |

Ritzcamera has higher prices than others incl larger more estab stores i.e. buy.com or amazon. More importantly, they treat customers w/less respect. To top things off, their low price guarantee is an unqualified joke. Even after showing, a bonafide US warranty, not gray mkt, in-stock item, RC simply decided NOT to honor it anyway! Overall, a higher price, low price scam and customer hassle means I'll be looking elsewhere. Their rtn policy is supposed to be difficult as well... we shall see. |

I bought a Nikon camera lens from Ritz, having found it listed on a competitor's website for $30 less than Ritz' advertised price. Rather than go through the hassle of the on line ordering and price match process, I called Ritz 800 number and the customer rep I spoke with checked the competitor's website while we were on the phone, and verified their price. He immediately matched it, and I had my lens in hand 3 days later. I couldn't have been more pleased. |

I ordered a coolpix 5000 from this merchant and ordered it overnight. They delivered it promptly as ordered. So I was able to have it for Christmas holiday. The shipping charge it OK for overnight and there was no pressure to sell you anything. |

This company does not follow-up well on orders...placed an order on 12/21/01...problems were found with my credit card billing address, but I was never notified of this...6 days later I corrected it, with assurances from company personnel of in-stock items...later to find out about a "delay due to re-stocking"...I will not go back to this store ! |

Ordered Dimage 7 on 1/22/02. Was told camera was on backorder to to ship in 2 weeks. Shipped 2 days later and arrived soon after. Initial price was high. At my request Ritz checked other internet sellers and reduced price $200. $300 savings from local Milwaukee sellers. No pressure sales and fair priced accessories (batteries and flash card) Confirmed with local Ritz shops they will support product (warrany, service, ...) Could not have been easier. Will buy from Ritz again. |

Purchased Nikon accessories for my CP 5000 and they shipped a partial order informing me that the two adapters were back ordered. They did not charge me shipping and the partial order at least got me up and running. They were honest and upfront with my order and pending order. I definately will buy again! |

To be fair, I tried to get a pretty new Fujifilm digital camera model from Ritz, so I patiently waited over a month for them to get it in. But they never did, and their web site order status system was so confusing that I had to call in several times to check my order with a real person. Often that person wasn't very helpful or gave me unreliable information. I finally cancelled the order, ordered the camera from B&H photo video, and got the camera two days later at a better price. |

The ship date consistently changes and I can get no answer as to why. The lack of attention to detail, the unwillingness to answer question or give valid information is very frustrating. They state all orders are filled in the order received however I have a hard time believing that. I would go elsewhere and purchase the product but no one else has and I am afraid the situation would be the same except I would be starting over. |

I agree with previous negative comments. The ship date posted to the order changes w/o committment and they don't explain why. The people at the call center barely speak understandable english. Escalation is a joke - they just give canned answers. I filed complaint with Better Business Bureau. Questionable business practices and ethics. |

Ordered a canon d60, 2 lenses and a battery grip. Constant delays (still have not received the battery grip after 3 months), with the items showing in order status as in stock and reserved and then after a couple of days changed to backordered....would be faster to fly to Hong Kong and buy it! |

Very weak customer service. I ordered a Sony DSC-P5 on Sunday, Nov 10th. Today, I checked my order status to find that they had canceled my order without notice. I called to find out what had happened. They told me Sony had discontinued the camera. They refused to give me a deal on a DSC-P7 (virtually the same camera as the P5). May the Karma train derail at their station. |

Awesome experience! I called to order my Canon G3 and mentioned the lowest price I had found on PriceGrabber ($50 less than their price), and they matched it! Free shipping and no tax are a plus, and they were courteous and not the least bit pushy about additional accessories. My order was placed on a Friday afternoon, shipped Monday, and arrived Tuesday via standard UPS. Very satisfied with Ritz and with my new camera! |

Ordered the Canon D60 in May 2002 when no one had them. Everyone wanted payment in full inorder to order one. Ritz ordered it by taking my credit card info only & then emailed me when it arrived. I was given 24 hrs to cancel, otherwise it was to be charged & shipped. My camera arrived end of July just as they said. B&H wanted full payment in May 2002. 2wks ago, they emailed me saying they now have a few Canon D60's available, if I was still interested. I would use Ritz again! |
